Reddingsbrigade Wijk aan Zee uses various equipment for its surveillance tasks. This includes sailing, driving, and other rescue equipment. This includes motorboats, vehicles, and other rescue equipment. The equipment is well-maintained to ensure it is always available when needed.

Main station Southern Station

Our Southern station is our main station. The station is equipped with a first aid room, changing rooms, storage for equipment, a lookout tower, a briefing room, and a reporting and coordination room.

Auxiliary station Nothern station

Our Northern station is a small support station. On busy days or in good weather, this station is open. The station has a first aid room and a space from which our lifeguards can monitor the area.

Beach ambulance 36-8610

This beach ambulance is designed for transporting our lifeguards and a (lying) victim. The vehicle is equipped with communication equipment, various rescue tools, first aid materials, an AED, life vests, a loudspeaker system, and a stretcher. The vehicle is fitted with a blue flashing light and siren, allowing it to function as an emergency vehicle with priority.

Off-road vehicle 36-8620

The off-road vehicle is a versatile vehicle. Due to its small turning radius, it is highly maneuverable and perfect for driving on a crowded beach. It is also frequently used as the first (scouting) unit. With the rescue board on the roof, small incidents can be handled independently. The vehicle is further equipped with communication equipment, a first aid kit, and an AED.

Rescue jet ski 36-8617

The rescue jet ski is suitable for both prevention (patrolling), rescues, and Search and Rescue operations. Due to its water jets, it can be used close to the waterline. This vessel can be operated by one or two lifeguards.

Fast lifeboat 36-8619

Our fast rescue boat is suitable for both prevention (patrol), and Search and Rescue missions. The vessel is equipped with a Yamaha 4-stroke engine of 40 HP, tow line, first aid materials, communication equipment and orange & blue flashing light. The boat is of the type RNR-430.

Rescue vessel WAZ018

This rescue boat, of the Mulder and Rijke vlet type, is designed to be used in (imminent) flood disasters. It is also part of the national rescue fleet. Due to its minimal draft, the boat is suitable for operation in flooded areas. During the summer season, the vessel can be deployed as a patrol boat at sea.
